color those cheap bandaids

i saw this idea on family fun or crafty crow, i don't remember which. Anyway, instead of buying the expensive character bandaids (care bears are fine, but princesses or barbies throw me into a conniption. sorry mallory, i try.), you have the child color the bandaid, which mallory agreed would be an acceptable solution. this particular bandaid is covering a scab on her face that she picked. and she colored it with a pen, which is what you have to do when you get banned from markers.

found this recipe on the back of a package of cheese. the kids liked it, doug liked it, i liked it-- rare when all three occur. plus the kids had fun cutting the chives from our garden.
