Waking Beauty

Our favorite book in our house right now. Daddy's, Mommy's, Mal's, Ike's... pretty hard to get all four of us, but it worked. ike might just like it because we all like it, but everyone else has discernment. mal even took it out of the bag of books we had to take back to the library.

my favorite line? "one hundred years of morning breath. wow! that could be the kiss of death!"

my attempt to be a graphic designer

for a primary activity that we had this month.

i think i want to go back to school and be a graphic designer(i would probably need to learn how to draw...oh and actually have some style), along with an accountant, traveling microbiologist, pharmacist, elementary teacher...

who knows what i want to be when i grow up.

cute japanese fabric

the crafty crow is hosting a giveaway for cute japanese fabric. i would pick out the hedgehog fabric, or the flower fabric. actually, i would take any of it.

in other things i think you should check out today, my sister in law just posted pictures of her table in her kitchen. very lovely. i want her kitchen. just in red or burnt orange instead of pink. though mallory loves the pink.

a necklace for mallory

one of my goals this last christmas was to make a present for everyone. ha. not doing that again. that is pretty much why i was mia the last couple of months.

this was pretty easy to make, just put a piece of paper on the back of a glass wafer with glue (i used diamond glaze, but i think you could get away with mod podge) and then seal the back with diamond glaze. the pendant bails were rather hard to find, i had to go online to find them. i bought from kristenkrafts.etsy.com-- she had kits, which included the diamond glaze and instructions. lots of fun. i tried the bottle cap magnets, too.
